It's built for planning, not for a guaranteed quote. Distances come from real coordinates stretched for road curvature, and prices default to realistic nationwide averages — but actual fuel prices, tolls, fares and hotel rates vary by city and by the day, so treat every number here as a solid starting estimate to adjust as you learn more.
No — this is a planning and budgeting tool only. It doesn't book anything or connect to any live booking system. Once you're happy with a plan, you'll still book your train, flight, cab or hotel separately.
Your route, dates, travellers, saved trips and preferences are kept only in your own browser on this device, so your plan is still there next time you open this page. Your trip details are never sent to a server. To move a plan to another phone or share it with friends, use Share on WhatsApp or the trip code — clearing your browser data clears saved trips.
Yes — every number in the transport section is editable. Tap "check today's fuel price" or "today's toll rates" next to those fields to look them up, then type in what you find.
Children aged 5–12 are costed at roughly half the adult rate for food and fares. Infants under 5 are free on trains, buses and for food, and about 10% on flights. Hotels are priced per room, so an infant doesn't add a room. Adjust rooms and prices under Fine-tune if your situation differs.
Search covers hundreds of cities and towns across India, and goes down to mandals, villages and places of interest in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. If a place is missing, choose "Not listed? Add it as your own place" in the search results and pick the nearest listed town. CostMyTrip estimates distances from that town, and the Google Maps link still uses your exact place name.
Distances are estimated from the coordinates of each place, stretched to allow for road curvature, so they sit close to typical road distances but are not live routing. Travel time uses average speeds for your mode of transport. For turn-by-turn directions and live traffic, use the Open in Google Maps link.
It is built from your route, number of days and daily pace. Travel days are sized to your driving limit, and explore days use places from CostMyTrip's own list plus any you saved. It is a set of suggestions, not bookings, and you can add your own plans to any day.
